MAYDAY

PLANS FOR MAYDAY

Preserving historic buildings is vital for maintaining a community's cultural and architectural heritage. We plan to restore 2602 North Flores as an active space in the community, while honoring its historical significance in the neighborhood. Establishing an art gallery and artist studios here will contribute to the vitality of the Alta Vista neighborhood through visual and structural improvements to the lot, and by creating a unique space for art, cultural and craft markets, and events.

This project exemplifies responsible adaptive reuse, demonstrating how historic structures can serve modern purposes while preserving their legacy. MAYDAY will contribute to the cultural vibrancy of the community, while ensuring the building’s stories and significance are maintained for future generations.
